Matthew McDade

Matthew McDade, Treasurer

Matthew McDade has been a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo and a KCC member since 2002. Matthew is a graduate of Portage Northern High School. He holds a BBA and MBA in finance from Western Michigan University. Matthew began his banking career as a commercial lender for First of America specializing in small business and middle market lending. In 1999, Matthew became the Community Bank President for Republic Bank in Kalamazoo. As one of eight bank presidents for Republic Bank Matthew managed the Western Michigan operation for the bank. In 2008, Matthew formed McDade Capital which specializes in debt and equity placement, loan restructuring, and business consulting for commercial real estate investors and business owners throughout the Midwest. Matthew is married to his wife of 20-years, Michelle McDade. Together they have four children. 


A.J. Todd

A.J. has been a life-long member of the Kalamazoo Country Club.  He grew up at the Kalamazoo Country Club playing golf, tennis and swimming.  A.J. got both his BA in 1995 and his MBA in 2005 at the University of Michigan.  He works at the A.M. Todd Company and leads the Procurement department on a Global basis.  A.J. currently is the Vice-President of the Lakeside for Children Board and the treasurer of the Sherman Lake YMCA Board.  He also is the treasurer of the MIRC Board which is a research and trade organization for his industry.  A.J. has run the KCC Invitational for the last 14 years.  A.J., his wife Cathy, and his sons love KCC and look forward to using the club for many more years.


Petey Stephanak

Petey moved to Kalamazoo in 2004 as a result of husband Jim’s position as the Publisher of the Kalamazoo Gazette.  Petey graduated from Purdue University with a B.A. in Interior Design.  While at Purdue, Petey competed for the University as a springboard diver and spent summers working as a professional high diver at amusement parks around the country and in Europe for the Great American High Diving Team.  Upon graduation, Petey worked as a licensed interior designer in the commercial office furniture business in New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Michigan before taking time to raise their children. Currently, Petey is associate vice president at Southwest Michigan First working with contributors to the award winning economic development organization.  Southwest Michigan First’s mission is to affect the community through the creation of jobs and opportunity in Southwest Michigan. As a volunteer, Petey has been active with the American Heart Association Go Red for Women, Girls on the Run | Girls on Track programs, March of Dimes, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and served as a volunteer on the KCC renovation committee in 2010.  In addition, Petey has been involved with children’s activities including Girls Scouts, Girls on the Run and Destination Imagination.  Petey and Jim have been members of Kalamazoo Country Club since moving to Kalamazoo in 2004. They have two children who have participated in the swimming, golf and tennis programs.  Son Alex attends University of Michigan and daughter Molly attends Grand Valley State University.

Jason Falk

Jason moved to Portage in 2008 from Southern California as part of a job relocation. He currently holds the position of Vice President of Operations for Lippert Components, whose corporate headquarters are in Elkhart, IN.  Jason oversees numerous operations across the country. He has been working at Lippert Components for the past 17 years and has held various management titles along the way. Jason graduated, with honors, from Alma College in 1996 with a BA in Business Administration, along with minors in Finance and Marketing.
 
Jason and his wife, Kristin, have been married for 16 years. They have 3 children, Braden (10), Rylan (8) and Maryn (5). The Falk Family joined KCC in 2009 and have been enjoying the amenities and activities at KCC ever since! The children enjoy the junior golf program, swim team, water show and tennis programs. Their summer days are filled with many fun hours on property. Outside of the club, the children participate in travel hockey, travel soccer, baseball and various music programs. Jason is an avid golfer and Kristin is a beginning golfer who enjoys the women’s fun league as time allows.
 


Katy Verduzco

Katy is a third generation Kalamazoo Country Club member.  She and her husband, Steve, joined the KCC in 2001 when Steve accepted a Sales Manager position with Eli Lilly and Company in Kalamazoo.  Her parents, Bert and Terri Cooper, are also current members.  Katy graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1995 with a B.B.A. in Accounting.  She worked as a C.P.A. in northern California for BDO Seidman, Deloitte & Touche and Ensim Corp., an internet startup company, for ten years before starting a family.  Today, she stays busy keeping up with her four children.  They are actively involved in club activities including golf, junior tennis, Kid’s Club, swim team, and the annual Watershow.  Katy also works as a fitness instructor at West Hills Athletic Club and the YMCA and volunteers at St. Augustine where her children attend school.  Though she was an Academic All-American and Captain of the Notre Dame golf team, Katy doesn’t play nearly as much golf as she would like, but she enjoys Friday night twilights, club golf events and being a part of the KCC Invitational committee.

Brad moved to Kalamazoo in 2001 upon joining The Connable Office where he now serves as a Managing Director and Vice President.  In his current role, Brad serves clients across the United States and abroad and leads the firm's estate planning and trust administration area.  Prior to joining The Connable Office, Brad practiced trust and estate law at Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett, LLP, in Grand Rapids.  Brad is currently a member of the Trust Counsel for the Michigan Bankers Association and was formerly a Director of the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy and a member of its Land Protection and Resource Development Committees. Brad holds an AB in Psychology from the University of Michigan, where he earned Phi Beta Kappa distinction, and a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law. Brad and his wife Cheri, a graduate of Michigan State University and the Fashion Institute of Technology, have been married 18 years.  They joined the Kalamazoo Country Club in 2002 and enjoy golfing, dining, and swimming at the club with their three children, Brenna (12), Brady (10), and Bryce (6).
 


Jodi Milks

Jodi is a native of Kalamazoo and 1985 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School.  Jodi attended Michigan State University and received a BA in Finance.  Following college, she worked as a Commercial Credit Analyst and Commercial Lender at Old Kent Bank (now Fifth/Third Bank) in downtown Kalamazoo for six years.  After working at Old Kent she transitioned toward working as a Real Estate broker and has been a Commercial Real Estate Broker for 13 years. As a Broker with Colliers International (formerly Grubb & Ellis) Jodi specializes in finding the right solutions for the sale, leasing, and Buyer/Tenant representation of Commercial Real Estate in West Michigan.  Clients include:  Aldi, Family Dollar, Fifth/Third Bank, Keystone Bank, Kenco Logistics, Southwest Michigan First, Chemical Bank, Great Clips, Papa Murphy’s Pizza, The Hinman Company, as well as many other individuals and small business owners.  Jodi is currently working on a major redevelopment of the former 120,000 sq. ft. Kmart Plaza on S. Westnedge Avenue in Portage. As a volunteer, Jodi serves as a committee member on the KCC Social Committee and LIFT Foundation Executive Committee (a low income housing provider in Kalamazoo).  Jodi is also the Commercial Networking and Events Chair of the Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors, and has been a a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) since 2001.  Former board positions held included the Girl Scout Council; MSU Kalamazoo Alumni Association; and served as past president of the Financial Golf League. Jodi and her husband Matt, who serves as the VP of Construction for Meyer C. Weiner, have been married for 14 years and have two children. Both Jodi and Matt participate in golf at the club while their children enjoy swim team, tennis and junior golf.


Mathew Molitor

Matthew Molitor, Vice President

Matt was born and raised in the Kalamazoo area and is the son of Members Ron and Joan Molitor.  Along with his wife Michelle (Miedema), he is a graduate of Portage Central High School (’90) and Albion College (’94).  After college, Matt went on to pursue a career in film and video production in Vancouver, British Columbia. After working in Chicago for several years, he and Michelle moved to Ann Arbor, where Matt worked his way up in the camera department on various commercial and film projects shot in Detroit as well as nationally (8 Mile, Transformers, The Island) while Michelle earned her MA in Public Policy at UM.   Matt has served as Director of Photography on several features films including locally produced KALAMAZOO?  Recently, the couple moved back to the area to be closer to family and to work at Mol-Son, the family’s engineering/tool & die business located in Mattawan. Matt and his wife Michelle have been married for 14 years.  They joined KCC in 2005 and are very active at the Club.  Matt serves as the KCC Men’s Golf Activities Committee Chair.  Michelle and their two children are very involved with KCC’s social and sporting activities and events.


Todd Sanford

Todd has lived in the Kalamazoo since his arrival at Western Michigan University in 1979. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 1983 and immediately went to work in the Financial Services industry.  After completing two years of licensing and training with Investors Diversified Services and Baxter & Associates he joined the firm of Scott, Doerschler, Messner & Gauntlett where he became a partner and shareholder in the firm.  After the firm was purchased by First of America Bank and then by National City Bank, he left to start his own firm in the spring of 2000.  Todd became a Certified Financial Planner in March of 1991.  Todd is managing partner and CEO of Sanford Financial Services, a locally owned and operated full service Financial Planning and Investment firm.  He has been named one of Barron's Top 1,000 Advisors in America for several years and his office manages the largest volume of business in the Midwest as one of Raymond James Independent Advisor firms.  Todd is married to his wife Amy for 25 years and they have two grown children, Alyssa and Brent, and both are attending college.  The Sanfords have been members of KCC since 2004 and they enjoy golf and platform tennis.  Todd serves as a Board of Director for the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy as well as  Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan.  He also volunteers his time with the Youth Ministry at Southridge Reformed Church.
