3 Family Activities at the Kalamazoo Country Club

One of the best aspects of joining a country club is joining a community. At a country club, you’ll be surrounded by folks who share your values for hobbies such as golfing, tennis, and even fine dining. Joining a country club is also a great way to bring your kids into a community and make friends their age outside of school.

That said, if you’ve never joined a country club, then you might be wondering what types of activities you can expect to do with your own family. In this month’s blog post, we’re discussing 3 fantastic country club activities for the whole family.

Golfing

Golfing can be a great way to spend time with your family or friends. In fact, many kids begin taking an interest in golf around high school age. If you have kids aged 13-18, you may want to consider inviting them golfing to see if they have an interest in it. Here at the Kalamazoo Country Club, we have one of the best golf courses around, making ours the perfect venue to foster your child’s interest in golf.

The Caddie Program

For those with teens looking for a good way to make money and memories over the summer, we also offer a summer caddie program. Our caddies learn social skills, spend time exercising outside, and make valuable community connections that they can take with them for years. Additionally, our caddies can expect to make between $10.00-25.00+ dollars an hour.

Our Caddie Manager trains both new and returning caddies at the start of every season, giving them the tools they need to succeed.

Clubhouse Dining for the Whole Family

For those who want to share a taste of the high life with their family, we also offer fine dining options for all ages 13 and over at the Whites Lake Tavern. Some of the delicious fine dining options we offer are:

  • Ahi Tuna
  • Lobster Ravioli
  • Faroe Island Salmon
  • Risotto

If your kids are picky eaters, then we have options for them on our junior’s menu. Some junior options for pickier eaters are:

  • Pasta
  • Chicken Tenders
  • Steak Tips
  • Hamburger

Swimming Pools for Children and Adults

Over the course of a Michigan summer, there are few better ways to beat the heat than with a dip in the pool. That’s why we own and maintain a competition-sized swimming pool, available for both children and adults. And for those with little ones, we also have a wading pool so families with tykes can still enjoy the water together.

If you or your children aren’t very strong swimmers, then you should know we also offer both private and group swim classes.

Bring the Family Together at the Kalamazoo Country Club

Whether you’re golfing, dining, or swimming, we here at the KCC understand what truly matters to you: spending quality time with the ones you love. That’s why our staff is here to help make your experiences together memorable and happy.
