Fall Recreations at the Kalamazoo Country Club

The summer may be coming to an end, but time for recreation at the Kalamazoo Country Club is still in full swing. Though beach season won’t be back around until next year, we at the KCC look forward to the moderate temperatures and beautiful fall colors that September and the coming months bring. For that reason, we want to take this month’s blog post to reflect on the finer points of fall recreation we enjoy here at the Kalamazoo Country Club, and the ways we invite you to enjoy them with us.

Fall Golfing Opportunities

Doubtlessly, the fall is one of the best times to go golfing in Michigan. The wide-open spaces paired with the cooler temperatures means ideal conditions for standing out in the sunlight to warm up instead of hustling for shade after taking a swing.

Additionally, now that our golf leagues have wrapped up for the year, our courses are wide open for those that would like to take advantage of prime times of the day to go golfing. For instance, our Ladies’ Leagues generally run at 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM on intermittent Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Now that the league is on hiatus until next summer, however, these prime times are much less crowded for those looking for golden golfing opportunities at ideal times of the day.

Fine Dining for Fall Palettes

Perhaps more than any other season, fall is the perfect time to experience fine dining. Few culinary experiences pair better than sipping fine wines and appreciating the stunning beauty of the seasons changing. Here at the Kalamazoo Country Club, our Whites Lake Tavern & Grill is the perfect way to do so.

At the Whites Lake Tavern & Grill, you can enjoy the rustic-yet-refined atmosphere of our fine dining area, warmed by a wood fire for the ideal fall dining experience. At the same time, you can view our golf course and the surrounding trees, which are turning a pleasant array of brown, red, and orange. Afterward, we invite you to take a stroll around the clubhouse to digest and cool off, before returning to the tavern to warm back up on drinks, community, and atmosphere.

Are you interested in enjoying the finer points of the season’s change? If so, then we cordially invite you to take part in it with us here at the Kalamazoo Country Club.
