There’s no better place to explore golf in Southwest Michigan

KCC has amazing opportunities for spending time on our championship course. Golf leagues are one of those opportunities. Joining a league will improve your game and allow you to partner with both familiar and new players. Both leagues welcome new players, and if you’re not sure you can commit to at least half of the dates, consider becoming an alternate. Alternates are welcome to come as often as they’re available. Find the league that fits your needs and register with our pro shop staff.

Men’s Tuesday Night KCC Golf League

The Tuesday league takes place from 11:00am – 5:30pm every Tuesday throughout the summer and allows you to participate at any point during that period. Players are grouped into 6-man teams using the Modified Stableford scoring with the top 3 scores on your team counting each week. Schedule a game ahead of time with your team or the KCC PGA staff will pair you up. 80% handicaps will be utilized for this league.

Two halves to the season with a predetermined number of teams making the playoffs each half (dependent on # of teams signed up). If you feel you cannot commit to be a regular player in the League, then sign up as a substitute; you will be needed every week you’re available to play!

League fees are $60 per member. New members are strongly encouraged to join as this is a great way to meet other members!

League Play | Tuesday, May 2nd-Tuesday, August 15th
League Playoff | Tuesday, August 22nd

Submit your email to the KCC Golf Shop with your status (regular or substitute player), Member Number, and your cell / work numbers.

Driver Clinic | Saturday May 20th 9:30am to 10:30am | $40/person

The game of golf is made much easier when you’re driving the ball well.  We’ve all had days when it felt like we were playing out of the rough on every hole, which can make for a long round.  Learn the fundamentals of being a good driver of the golf ball and start playing from the center of the fairways!

“The ability to keep the ball in play off the tee is one of the three major scoring components.”

Full Swing and Approach Shots | Saturday May 27th 9:30am to 10:30am | $40/person

One of the fundamentals to lower scores is to hit more greens, whether this is giving you the opportunity for birdie or par.

“You swing your best when you have the fewest things to think about.”

Wedges and Short Game | Saturday June 3rd 9:30am to 10:30am | $40/person

During a round, over half of your shots come within 100 yards of the green.  What better way to lower your score than to learn new techniques, improve your consistency and develop the skills to get up and down around the greens!

The key is shot selection around the greens. Hit the shot you know you can hit, not the one you think you can hit.”

Bunker Basics | Saturday June 10th 9:30am to 10:30am | $40/person

Two things that are required for any successful sand shot: loft and speed. The sand will slow down ball speed by 50%, that is why club speed is so important.

They say I get into too many bunkers. But is no problem. I am the best bunker player.”
